Pappalardo Curator of Musical Instruments Darcy Kuronen presents a musical tour of selected pieces from the Museum’s wonderful collection of keyboard instruments. He discusses the history, design, and repertoire for Italian and French harpsichords, Italian and German clavichords, an English grand piano and an American reed organ, concluding with a performance on the MFA’s Storytone electric piano, introduced at the 1939 New York World’s Fair.
