The Arts

Join Wendy Soneson for a special Mother’s Day watercolor demonstration on the theme of flowers. Learn the techniques of renowned watercolorists and explore the medium’s luminosity. Learn how to create thousands of colors from six primary paints, how to preserve whites, and use techniques of wet versus dry paper and paint. Mothers and children (and all visitors) are invited to try techniques and create their own small watercolor painting to take home.

Wendy Soneson is a San Francisco Bay–area watercolorist, teaching and showing her work there for the past two years. She taught watercolor for 34 years in the Boston area, and now specializes in outdoor painting sessions of great vistas such as the Golden Gate Bridge. She studied Art in Human Development at Lesley College and publishes several blogs about watercolor.
