The Lowell Institute School offers a wide array of industry-aligned Bachelor of Science and Bachelor of Science in Engineering Technology degree programs in biological science, biotechnology, environmental studies, health management, information technology, technical communication, computer engineering technology, mechanical engineering technology, mechanical engineering technology, and health science. Degree programs are taught on campus, entirely online, or a combination of the two, depending on the program of choice.

In order to ensure that students can finish what they started, the school has launched the Lowell Institute School Innovation Incubator. The incubator is dedicated to developing new methods that improve teaching effectiveness, from online laboratories to gamification of classrooms. The new methods will be researched, tested, and shared with the rest of the nation. Northeastern University and the Lowell Institute School were recently awarded $3.9 million from the U.S. Department of Education for this incubator.

The Lowell Institute School's alumni fill vital positions in the engineering, manufacturing, and scientific firms that form the base of today’s Massachusetts economy. The school graduates work in a variety of science, technology, and engineering fields and industries, including: • Advanced and high-technology manufacturing • Computer engineering • Engineering project management • Geographical surveying • Industrial design • Information technology.
