2 Nogales explores how inhuman situations fueled by extortion, kidnapping, human trafficking, and drug trafficking have accelerated the current exodus of migrants from Latin America. In 2 Nogales, considering this daunting panorama, Salcedo explores the conditions of vulnerability of refugees and their dreams for a better future.

The constant changes and adjustments in the immigration policy of the United States, accompanied by the urgency of Latin American citizens to leave their respective countries of residence due to violence and dangers of various kinds, has made Hugo Salcedo write his latest play. 2 Nogales explores how inhuman situations fueled by extortion, kidnapping, human trafficking, drug trafficking, have accelerated the current exodus of migrants from Latin America.

Considering this daunting panorama, Salcedo explores the conditions of vulnerability of refugees and their dreams for a better future in 2 Nogales. Through dynamic scene work and dialogues, narratives of violence contrast with the hope of migrants to achieve a just life.
