The Endless Fascination with the Salem Witch Trials: An Expert Panel Discussion
The Lowell Institute has sponsored free public lectures and other educational programs throughout the Boston area since its founding in 1836. Over the decades thousands of members of our community have attended Lowell lectures on topics ranging from science and the arts to literature and world affairs.
To this day the Institute provides a wide variety of free public lectures and educational programming throughout the city of Boston and continues to be a pioneer of education by funding innovative projects such as the WGBH Forum Network and the Lowell Institute School at Northeastern. Please see our event calendar and program list for more details on programming.
"When you have had said every enthusiastic thing that you may, you will not have half-filled the measure of its importance to Boston -- New England -- the country at large. No nobler or more helpful institution exists in America than Boston's Lowell Institute."
Dr. Oliver Wendell Holmes, Sr.
