Explore the concepts and ideas that surround “Making Modern” with modernist artist Jeff Ellse. Artists such as Hans Hoffman and Jackson Pollock used structure and chaos to push the boundaries of art. Ellse works with these opposing forces in his work and demonstrates how he creates a harmony of opposites using acrylic, graphite, and spray paint on canvas and panel. Afterwards, visit “Making Modern,” with a new understanding of abstract art.
