Explore the essentials of painting landscapes with pastels from conception to completion. Learn how to achieve luminous color and volume and how to structure an engaging composition. Ms. Smith will compare modern pastel techniques and materials to those used during William Merritt Chase’s time. Visitors are invited to join in and create a small pastel painting of their own. This is an ongoing program. Please come anytime and stay for as long as you’d like.
