It is easy to forget how much of the art of the European Middle Ages has been lost over the centuries. But it’s not just the objects themselves we are missing: Without a full multi-sensory experience medieval objects are woefully incomplete. Each one of our senses (even taste!) are vital to our understanding. Join Kress Interpretive Fellow Dustin Aaron as he explores the missing sights, sounds, and smells of the wonderful medieval artworks in the MFA’s collection. To attend the gallery talk, meet in the Jean S. and Frederic A. Sharf Visitor Center.
