The MFA’s collection of arts from Islamic cultures—among the best in the US—has been completely redesigned over a multi-year process of engagement with Islamic, artistic, and scholarly communities and just opened this summer. Join Laura Weinstein, Ananda Coomaraswamy Curator of South Asian and Islamic Art, on a tour through the newly installed gallery to learn about the richness and diversity of these art forms, and how the fundamentals of the gallery were re-developed to expand how visitors see and understand the diverse arts of Islamic cultures.
