The Arts

Join Boston artist Jeanne Rosier Smith to explore the astounding breadth of French pastels, taking a look at how the artists approached their materials, solved problems, innovated, and experimented. View these gorgeous works as a pastel artist sees them, and discover how today’s artists build on and borrow from their techniques. Smith has painted in pastel for twenty years, is represented by five American galleries, has shown in museums around the US and regularly teaches plein air travel tours in Provence.
